NumberBarn
Dec 26, 2023Here is my Experience with NumberBarn
I ported my phone numbers in to NumberBarn.com for $2 per month. They will work very hard to get the numbers ported into their system. You have to start the process in chat, but they are very responsive. I did this so I could test multiple sub carriers without risking my actual phone number.
Red pocket will also port numbers, but I had no direct way to do this from Verizon since I was on a month to month plan, and I read about many horror stories about losing your number when trying to switch carriers. This is why I started with Number barn. Number barn has a full phone package and forwarding.
I would try to get your abandoned number ported into NumberBarn, and from there you can port it into any carrier you like. I ended up moving my phone number into Google so I could have good support on Android, and just taking a new number with Red Pocket. This keeps my real number portable to any device, and I can add and drop phone plans as needed.
It cost me $20 to port the number into Number Barn, as well as another $20 to port it again into Google Voice. Once the number is in Google Voice, the Service is free. Red pocket is $2 per month for parking with Text, and each other service comes at a cost.
